Sklar permanently bonds tungsten carbide inserts to the blade of these scissors, which maximizes control and precision, provides an exceptionally durable and hard cutting edge, and allows blades to stay sharp for a significantly longer period of time. Mayo Scissors are a versatile instrument that can be used in multiple procedures and settings. They are available straight or curved in a variety of lengths with a standard beveled blade. While the curved instrument is most commonly utilized for cutting or dissecting dense or deep tissue, and the straight version is typically used for cutting surface tissue or sutures, both may be used interchangeably depending on procedure and physician preference. TC instruments are identified by gold finger ring handles. Surgi-OR™ instruments are mid-grade instruments, suitable for use in the operating room or surgery center. This product is straight with smooth, blunt/blunt tips and a length of 6-3/4 inches.
