Description
Sklar's® TC Webster Needle Holder is used with small needles and fine suture material, commonly in plastic surgery or subcutaneous procedures around the face and hands. They are available with smooth or serrated jaws. Smooth jaws will cause the least damage to the needle; however, serrated jaws hold the needle more tightly. A Webster needle holder should not be used with large needles because of the risk of damage to the jaws, thus potentially enabling the instrument insufficient for future use with the intended small needle. Sklar permanently bonds tungsten carbide inserts to this instrument, which maximizes control and precision. Physician preference typically determines the type of working surface utilized. This product is straight with cross-serrated tips and a length of 5-1/4 inches. It may also be referred to as a Halsey needle holder.
