Mobility aids help you walk or move from place to place if you are disabled or have an injury. They include Crutches, Canes, Walkers, Rollators, Wheelchairs and Motorized scooters. Your doctor or physical therapist may recommend a walker, rollator or cane if you are at risk of falling. When choosing any one of these equipment you have to consider you weight and height to ensure that the equipment meets the requirements to keep you safe from falling. If you need to keep weight off your foot, ankle or knee after injury or surgery you may need crutches or knee scooter. However if your injury or progression of your condition is beyond using a walker or cane than the doctor may request you use a wheelchair or a motorized scooter.
